Who we are?
Our Mission
The Society for Snake & Snakebite Awareness (3SA) is a non-political, secular, and non-profit initiative dedicated to snakebite awareness, animal welfare, and nature conservation. We are guided by the philosophical stance of Deep Ecology theory, which posits that all living things have intrinsic value and deserve to be respected and protected.
We believe that snakes are an important part of the ecosystem, and that snakebite awareness is essential to reducing human-snake conflict and promoting the conservation of snakes and their habitats. We work to educate the public about snakes, their biology, and how to avoid snakebites. We also provide support to victims of snakebite and their families.
What we do
Educate the public about snakes
We want people to understand the importance of snakes to the ecosystem, and to learn how to live safely and harmoniously with them.
Prevent snakebite
We work to raise awareness of the risks of snakebite, and to teach people how to avoid it.
Promote the conservation of snakes and their habitats
We believe that snakes deserve to be protected, and we work to advocate for policies that protect them
